The Media’s Slanderous Assault on President Trump is Finally Recognized
We have heard the discussions, seen the reports and even noticed it ourselves. There have been facts, documentation and comparative figures that have all made us very aware of the aggressive mainstream media attack on the President. Now, it appears that others have taken notice and they are about doing something about it.
The ‘they’ in question has been what one story calls “Trump allies” who are apparent members and associates of media organizations. Based on that story, this ongoing and years-long media attack on the President has finally been confronted, just not exactly head-on. These reported “allies” have and are continuing to compile information, as our aforementioned story reports, “operatives have closely examined more than a decade’s worth of public posts and statements by journalists…” That may not sound like anything and certainly not anything that would instill fear in the hearts of Trump opposers but it should… and it will.
In fact, these countermeasures against this ridiculous anti-Trump media campaign have already struck first blood. As our story went on to report, “the group, so far, has been responsible for the firing of a CNN photo editor… .” And there are more names and targets on the radar. How the plan of these so-called Trump allies in the media and press works is more like a deterrent in the form of a counter-attack. When negative, dishonest or slanderous reports are found these allies then use that collected information to go after the journalists behind these articles.
Here is where it gets interesting and a little more hardcore, because this isn’t a plan without teeth – and it bites. According to the report, the Trump allies go through this collected data to uncover “…damaging information about journalists.” What makes this even more threatening is that the Trump allies won’t just stop with the journalists responsible. No, this attack goes after their families, the organization and anyone affiliated with these journalists.
The story goes on to report that “the research is said to extend to members of journalists’ families who are active in politics, as well as liberal activists and other political opponents of the president. That means that any social media, press or public statements made are fair game for the allies.” So far the plan is working.
How do we know? In addition to getting that CNN editor fired, the allies’ work has also revealed what our story called “anti-Semitic writings” and tagged the political editor of the New York Times, Tom Wright-Piersanti, as the culprit. The allies also know their plan is working because of the fear and backlash about this attack on the media.
Some of those worried, nervous and questionable journalists and reporters have said:
Leonard Downie Jr., Executive Editor of The Post 1991 to 2008 –
“If it’s clearly retaliatory, it’s clearly an attack, it’s clearly not journalism…”
A. G. Sulzberger, Publisher of The Times –
“They are seeking to harass and embarrass anyone affiliated with the leading news organizations… the goal of this campaign is clearly to intimidate journalists from doing their job, which includes serving as a check on power and exposing wrongdoing when it occurs. The Times will not be intimidated or silenced.”
Yeah, it’s working and now that warning shots have been fired, everyone in the media has taken notice. Call it a what is good for the goose is good for the gander idea, but the gander seems to be dealing with some ruffled feathers.
How’s it feel?
While there are reliable and credible news sources, journalists and reporters out there, it is those with an agenda that need to be worried. The President hasn’t ever been fearful of good press and honest reporting but he has clearly spoken out about the damage of abusing mainstream media. Our major mainstream news outlets, like every news reporting agency, should have an obligation to report the facts, the truth, and the news. What they have often chosen to do, however, is report the ideas and goals of an agenda that opposes everything about Donald Trump.
If anyone should know, it should be journalists and reporters, that the pen is truly mightier than the sword. So it might be wise of them moving forward, to be careful how they swing their blade because it can cut both ways!
