Trump Slams Amy McGrath Over 9/11 Comment
Does every Democrat have to refer everything to the 9/11 tragedy? Democrats running for office are now using the tragedy of 9/11 and comparing it to Donald Trump winning the 2016 election to become the President of the United States of America. Democratic candidate Amy McGrath, who is running against Republican and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in the Kentucky Senate race is one of those candidates who used that horrible day to put down the president. President Trump heard what was said and quickly took to Twitter Thursday morning to rebuttal the statement and support Senator Mitch McConnell.
This was McGrath’s statement, “That morning I woke up like somebody had sucker punched me. I mean, I felt like, ‘What has just happened to my country?’ The only feeling I can describe that’s any close to it was the feeling I had after 9/11. What just happened, where are we going from here, and it was that just sinking feeling of sadness, and I didn’t know what to do.”
Low and behold, CNN jumped on this statement and quickly wanted an interview with McGrath for her to elaborate on her statement. CNN was hoping they could spin her statement around to not make it look as bad as it was. But it was too late. Majority of the time, Liberals can put their foot in their mouth when they realize they made a big mistake. It is a shame it is mostly the Conservatives who notice this. Some Democrats are actually starting to come around to our side of the fence, but not enough.
Many Conservatives will see this statement as jibberish as McGrath told CNN, “What I was talking about was the fact that nobody really expected President Trump to win, and I was also talking about the entire 2016 cycle. Many of us were spurred into action by what happened in 2016, the labeling of each other as ‘They’re all communist,’ or ‘They’re all this,’ or ‘They’re all that,’ and the fake news, the divisiveness of our country, was something I’d never seen before.”
My husband is a Republican, I’m a Democrat. We took stock of that after the election and we said ‘Where are we as a country?’ And that way, it was the same thing, for me, was looking at that tragic event and taking stock of where are we as a country. And I can see why folks might be upset about that.”
It is funny how when a person gets caught in a lie or says something stupid, they try to explain their way out of a statement and only make it worse. For us, it only makes it more obvious. I am not sure if we can laugh at this or just be disgusted by the stupidity and ignorance. She closed off the statement by criticizing McConnell for “helping to bit by bit, year by year, [turn] Washington into something we all despise. “I’m running for Senate because it shouldn’t be like this.” Well, by all means, please do, because it only makes her look more like a fool than we already think she is.
Trump tweeted in response, “Democrats are coming after our great Kentucky Senator, Mitch McConnell, with someone who compared my election to September 11th. Why would Kentucky ever think of giving up the most powerful position in Congress, the Senate Majority Leader, for a freshman Senator with little power in what will hopefully be the minority party? We need Mitch in the Senate to Keep America Great!!
It seems as though Democrats cannot and will never handle the truth. The truth stings quite a bit. The truth is, Senator Mitch McConnell handles his job very well. McGrath is really out in the left-field if she thinks she can beat McConnell in the Senate elections. Conservatives are the most outspoken when it comes to the truth.
Democrats are filled with lies and deception. People can get sick of politics real quick, but when there are idiots who try to stop the truth or the Trump Train, they end up always exposing themselves for the filth they try to feed the American people. This makes things more of a comedy or suspense act than the races we have witnessed before Trump won. When President Trump won the 2016 election, it was the most exciting thing we ever witnessed.
Thank goodness our president is in charge because we would go off the deep end with these fools!
