What is the Military Hold on Ukraine?

No one puts words in the mouth of the president better than Democrats and the media.  We see another circus act of shady activity with the Democrats unfolding before our eyes.  A week before the July 25 phone call to the newly elected Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, President Trump asked his chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, to withhold $400 million to have the military aid Ukraine.  The sequence of the events was noted by Democrats, and they used it against President Trump to fire off another reason for impeachment.

President Trump, on several occasions, gave the legit explanation for withholding the money.  The Democrats claimed the president pushed Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son in the case of corruption or else he would not give the money.  That is not the case at all.  President Trump told reporters the reason he withheld the money was because of the corruption with Ukraine involving Joe Biden and his son Hunter.  He did not want money going to a corrupt country or to assist in any form of corruption which was documented.

When President Zelensky won the election, President Trump called and congratulated him.  He openly admitted to reporters he asked about the investigations because there was illegal activity between the Biden’sBiden’s and Ukraine, hence the reason not to go and give the country aid or money automatically.

The President of the United States wanted to know the problem was going to be solved.  President Trump said the reason Zelensky won the election was that there is corruption in the country, and he was going to clean it up.  There was absolutely no pressure whatsoever.  Trump was concerned and wanted to make sure it was the right decision if the money should be spent or not.  On the night of September 11, the money was released from the White House to Ukraine for the military aid.  This was almost two months after the phone call conversation between the two leaders.

The sequence of events would make it suspicious, but the transcript of the phone conversation cleared everything up.  Democrats used the opportunity to politicize the facts and turn the tables by using the media to feed their bloodthirsty hatred.  They are like sharks in the ocean.  When they smell blood, they come running and attack without thinking.

The afternoon before the transcript was released, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave the Democrat lawmakers what they wanted.  Now, we find out what we knew all along, they shot themselves in the foot.  All President Trump wanted to know was, is Ukraine pro-Western, or are they pro-Russian?  Though the phone call was legit and genuine, it was also a tactic by a great businessman to play “the devil’s advocate” and feel out the situation before making a decision.

President Trump had only two options in the matter.  The first choice was to withhold the money which the Trump administration would run afoul of the law.  This means the administration would be in trouble for not releasing the funds.  The second option was the one President Trump chose.

Either way, the Democrats would have used the circumstances against him.  The president took the honest and the best way out.  Now here we go again, the impeachment inquiries are beginning after the most prolonged headache we just have gotten over, the Mueller investigations.

Democratic Senator Chris Murphy jumped up with the rest of his colleagues and stated, “I don’t think it really matters whether the president explicitly told the Ukrainians that they wouldn’t get their security aid if they didn’t interfere in the 2020 elections.  There is an implicit threat in every demand that a United States president makes of a foreign power.

That foreign country knows that if they don’t do it, there are likely to be consequences.” Perhaps with this statement, it could be the Democrats already knew the phone call conversation was not going to work for them either. White House spokesman Hogan Gidley told reporters there was no engagement of a quid pro quo, he stated, “But because the media wants this story to be true so badly, they’ll once again manufacture a frenzy and drive ignorant, fake stories to attack this president.”

As President Trump said though, “It’s very important to talk about corruption.  If you don’t talk about corruption, why would you give money to a country that you think is corrupt?”  Democrats obviously think it is perfectly alright.  After all, look at the Clintons and the Obamas.
