ABC, CBS, and NBC Spent Zero Seconds Covering Illegal Immigrants Caught Voting — Not One

Mahady Sacko, a Mauritanian illegal immigrant, has been accused of voting in seven federal elections since 2008. Seven. Not a typo. Not an estimate. Seven elections, exposed and charged — and ABC, CBS, and NBC haven't uttered his name once.

That's because the networks have spent exactly zero minutes covering any of it.

The total airtime devoted to foreign nationals caught attempting to vote in American elections came to zero seconds by NBC, ABC, CBS, and other major news stations.

The stories they refused to cover aren't ambiguous. Ten foreign nationals were indicted in Minnesota. Three noncitizens were arrested in Philadelphia County. Three New Jersey residents were charged with illegally voting. Sade Guppy, a Trinidad and Tobago national, was caught voting in the 2022 midterm. Cliff Sanon, a Haitian illegal immigrant, was charged. These aren't rumors on a message board. They're federal indictments and arrests with names, nationalities, and case files.

Then there's New Jersey. Governor Mikie Sherrill, a Democrat, announced in July that 6,600 people who were not citizens had been discovered on the state's voter rolls. She called it a "serious software error." The networks touched the story on July 22 and haven't mentioned it since. Six thousand six hundred names. One day of coverage.

Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, Democrat of Pennsylvania, offered the party's official position on the matter earlier this year: "Let me be perfectly clear: This is a non-issue. Noncitizens do not vote."

A foreign national was just arrested in her own state for voting in the 2024 presidential election. Scanlon voted against the SAVE Act, which would require proof of citizenship for federal voter registration. The bill that would have caught this before it happened — she voted no.

The networks' defense, to the extent one exists, rests on the idea that noncitizen voting is "extremely rare" and "doesn't happen." That framing requires you to ignore the indictments in Minnesota, the arrests in Philadelphia, the charges in New Jersey, and the man in Mauritania who voted in seven consecutive federal elections. Rare is a word that stops meaning anything when you refuse to count.

Attorney General Todd Blanche and the DOJ have been pushing election integrity enforcement ahead of the midterms. States are discovering noncitizens on their rolls. Arrests are being made in swing states. And the three networks that still reach more American households than any cable channel have decided this isn't news.

Six thousand six hundred noncitizens on one state's voter rolls. Seven elections for one illegal voter. Zero seconds of network coverage.
