Trump Created a $1.776 Billion Fund to Fight the Deep State — And the Dollar Amount Is the Best Part

President Trump just established a $1.776 billion fund specifically designed to compensate Americans targeted by federal government weaponization — and if you think that dollar amount is a coincidence, you haven't been paying attention. It's 1776, with a "B" on the end. The man turned a spending bill into a history lesson.

You almost have to admire the trolling. The Founders dumped tea over a tax stamp. Trump is dumping $1.776 billion into dismantling the exact kind of government tyranny they warned us about 250 years ago. Somewhere, King George is looking up from the flames going, "At least I didn't send the FBI after people's grandmothers."

Here's how it works, as reported by the Daily Wire. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is overseeing the creation of a board with 5 members appointed by the AG himself, plus 1 additional member selected in consultation with congressional leaders. That board will process claims from individuals who suffered "tangible losses such as legal fees and other costs" from unfair federal targeting. And yes — the fund is technically open to anyone across the political spectrum who was wrongfully targeted.

Sure it is. We all know who got targeted.

Remember the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago in 2022? Remember the Russia-collusion investigation that consumed three years of the country's life and turned up absolutely nothing? Remember when they sicced federal agents on parents who showed up at school board meetings to complain about what their kids were being taught? Those people now have somewhere to file a claim — and $1.776 billion waiting on the other end.

Trump himself referenced the principle during his inaugural address: "The power of the state should never again be used to persecute political opponents." That wasn't a suggestion. That was a promise. And this fund is the receipts.

A spokesman for Trump's legal team said the president entered the settlement "squarely for the benefit of the American people." That's lawyer-speak for: we won, and now we're making sure the people who got crushed by the machine get made whole.

Here's the part that really stings for the deep state crowd. Trump had a $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS that he dismissed as part of this arrangement. He gave up a $10 billion personal claim so that a $1.776 billion fund could be created for everyday Americans. Let that sink in. The billionaire walked away from his own payday so regular people — the ones who got raided, surveilled, and bankrupted by legal fees — could get compensated instead.

The fund draws on legal precedent from the Judgment Fund, the same mechanism the federal government has used for decades to settle claims against itself. So the bureaucrats can't even argue it's unconstitutional. Their own tool is being turned against them.

And that dollar amount. $1.776 billion. Not $1.8 billion. Not $1.75 billion. Exactly $1.776 billion. Because when you're fighting a government that forgot it works for the people, you might as well put the year of the Revolution right on the check.

The revolution is being funded. And the price tag is a message.
